oual has over 15 year of development experience and has been integrating technology into all aspects of fundraising since the start of his career. He began his professional career in 2005 at Xavier High School in New York City as director of emerging constituent groups. Four years later, he became director of institutional advancement at Monsignor Farrell High School on Staten Island and served in that role for three years before his appointment at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral as director of development. Loual currently oversees the programs and operations of Saint Peter’s Prep’s advancement office, which includes annual giving, alumni relations, special events, as well as planned giving, prospect research, and the related databases. Loual is also a strategic partner to both the vice president and president. From 2012 to 2020, Loual served as senior director of development and philanthropy at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan, playing a major role in directing its annual fundraising operations, as well as working in partnership with the Archdiocese of New York during its $200 million capital campaign. To engage visitors, Loual created a digital guest book that collected over 100,000 names and emails, which then connected with Blackbaud Luminate Online® to start an email campaign to foster engagement. While serving as the director of advancement and Alumni Relations at Msgr. Farrell High School on Staten Island, he was able to update the database system to Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge®, found 85% of lost alumni, updated the alumni online experience with Blackbaud’s NetCommunities, started multiple annual fund programs and revamped the alumni relations program with new events and engagement opportunities. Loual has deep roots in Jesuit education. He graduated from St. Ignatius School and then Xavier High School in Manhattan. In 2004, he earned a degree in history from Fordham University.
