Speaker Bio
Leveraging more than 25 years of public relations and marketing experience, Elyse joined the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta in 2015 after serving them for seven years as a client from her marketing firm, Eos. Elyse honed her skills in positions of increasing responsibility and scope at Emory Healthcare® and BellSouth® until changing her seat to the agency side of the desk in 2005. From the agency side, Elyse served Fortune firms including her former employers as well as AT&T®, Centex Homes®, Disney On Ice®, Ringling Brothers®, Barnum & Bailey®, Feld Entertainment®, and HD Supply®. She’s won numerous awards from the American Hospital Marketing Association, Public Relations Society of America (including its national Luminary Star® Award), and the National Telecom Marketing Association. Elyse successfully sold her firm, Eos, in 2012. The Community Foundation came calling, and she began her next vocational adventure, leading the marketing and communications efforts for the now billion-dollar community endowment. A frequent guest lecturer at her alma mater, Emory University, Elyse is an accredited public relations professional (APR) in Georgia (similar to a CPA for communications pros), and co-chairs the accreditation committee of the Public Relations Society of America’s board, after serving as the Georgia chapter’s 2017 president. She serves on the board of COMMA, the community foundation industry’s association, leads marketing for CFON (the organization founded by community foundations to work nationally to eliminate income inequality), and was on the 2020 host committee for The Communications Network.
