Anne Krause has lived in San Antonio for over 19 years and has served as President & Executive Director of the Hemisfair Conservancy since co-founding the organization in 2014. She oversees all philanthropic efforts supporting the transformation of the 1968 World’s Fair into a 40-acre urban parks district in the heart of the city. Anne received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and completed a non-profit executive program at Harvard Business School. Anne began her career as an Air Force officer. While serving her country, she had the privilege of flying jets, deploying to Cuba as the Officer in Charge of linguist operations, and serving as the Executive Officer for the USAF Thunderbirds demonstration team. After transitioning to the civilian world, Anne volunteered and held leadership positions in numerous non-profit organizations. Additionally, she consulted a Fortune 200 company and a private family foundation on strategic philanthropy. Anne is passionate about art, education and community. Anne serves as President of SA100, on the boards of The Nonprofit Council and the Harvard Business School Club of San Antonio, and on the Southwest Research Institute’s Board of Advisory Trustees. She is an international public speaker, a member of Leadership Women Texas and the San Antonio Business Forum, and a Charity Ball Association sponsor. Together, she and her husband Paul have four adult children, and in 2018, they expanded their family by becoming foster parents.
