As Counsel at Blackbaud, Sarah Cansler represents Blackbaud in the areas of privacy and data protection law. Sarah has been appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO) for Blackbaud’s European subsidiaries and works to ensure Blackbaud’s compliance with GDPR. She is accredited by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Certified Information Privacy Professional with respect to EU law (CIPP/E). Sarah received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina. Prior to Blackbaud, Sarah worked in private practice with Alston & Bird and Womble Bond Dickinson, and clerked on the North Carolina Supreme Court.
