Martin Whelan has worked within large social enterprise organizations to develop and lead the delivery of critical services that meet the Australian communities' needs at an individual and community level. Martin’s focus has been on ensuring that people are cared for with dignity, respect and quality during challenging times so that they can return to a better quality of life. Martin has worked for state and federal governments delivering critical services for the Australian public for most of his career. For the last four years he has worked for Lifeline Australia where he has guided the nation’s largest telehealth service (13 11 14). This service has over 4000 crisis supporters (mainly volunteers) delivering service to Australians in crisis. Martin has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education, Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology.
