Bio
Background
Beth Colton brings over a decade of nonprofit experience, with a strong background in fundraising, communications, operations, and volunteer management. Known for her problem-solving mindset, Beth specializes in streamlining processes to help organizations focus more energy on their missions.
Her passion for nonprofit work began early, volunteering at an animal rescue for a school project—a commitment that extended beyond the classroom. Even while working in the corporate sector, Beth has remained engaged in nonprofit efforts, often leading corporate volunteer initiatives.
In 2014, Beth began working with Blackbaud products at a local humane society, earning certifications in Luminate and Raiser’s Edge, while also supporting the organization’s migration to Raiser’s Edge NXT. Currently, she focuses on eTapestry, where she enjoys helping smaller nonprofits harness the power of their donor data and bridging the gap between technology and mission-driven work.
Beth is also deeply committed to community service. She has shared her ambassador dogs at San Diego Humane Society’s kids camp, participated in surf therapy with Groundswell Community Project, and contributed to Surfrider’s Smartfin project, collecting ocean data through citizen science. Alongside her family, she enjoys beach cleanups with Surfrider, Coastkeeper, and I Love a Clean San Diego.
