Bio
John Neiers is the Director of the New Lab for Teaching and Learning at The Dalton School in New York City. In 2001, John joined the Dalton School, a K-12 independent school with 1329 students, known for its progressive and innovative curriculum. John is a K-12 educator and administrator, advisor, former classroom teacher, and coach. John oversees the department that focuses on the purposeful and innovative uses of technology through collaboration with faculty and staff. John was also instrumental in Dalton’s founding membership in the Global Online Academy and served as Dalton’s site director for the online school. John also enjoys creating, organizing, and delivering educational technology professional development for faculty and staff. Prior to working at the Dalton School, John founded the technology department at The Seven Hills School in Cincinnati, and before that taught on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. John and his wife, Deanna, have 2 wonderful children, Jack (7) and Sorin (6).
