In this session, we will explore the automated tools that Nick and Matt are using to feed data from RENXT, FENXT, and Education Management to Microsoft's PowerBI data visualization software. We will demonstrate the ways we can build queries in RENXT and schedule hourly exports to Google Sheets, and we will look at the process for automating the feeds of Advanced List data from the Education Management suite to Google Sheets. We will then demonstrate the ways we can feed this data to Microsoft's PowerBI suite to build reporting dashboards that leverage data from RE, FE, and Education Management via the SKY API. Finally, we will review the ways we can publish these auto-refreshing reporting tools to the online PowerBI portal for distribution to members of our school community.
