Sara has worked in development operations for over seven years, primarily for educational institutions. Excelsior University is an online, accredited, not-for-profit learning institution founded in 1971 which provides educational opportunities to adult learners with an emphasis on those historically underrepresented in higher education. Sara is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and retrieval of data used by her team in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT and the University's Student Information System.

When she's not at work, Sara loves to dive into her own fantasy worlds and whip up messy yet lovable characters for the novels she hopes to publish someday. She also enjoys playing Settlers of Catan.
