A self-proclaimed New Yorker after 20 years spent in Brooklyn and NYC Independent Schools, Nitya has served as a middle school English teacher, Dean of Students, Head of Middle School, and is now the Assistant Head of School for Educational Program & Professional Growth at Brooklyn Friends School. Originally from Philadelphia, Nitya often has to explain what the word "jawn" means and that the real rivalry isn't about being a Birds fan, it's about being on Team Pat's or Team Geno's for the best Philly cheesesteak.
