Bio

Allegra Burnette is the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at the Museum of the American Revolution, where she leads efforts to expand the Museum’s reach and impact through strategic growth initiatives. In this role, she oversees branding, marketing, communications, digital, and visitor experience, helping guide the institution through major milestones including the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026 and the Museum’s 10th anniversary in 2027.

Allegra has more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of museums, experience design, and technology. Previously, she led her own consultancy, developing strategies and overseeing projects for cultural organizations to deepen visitor engagement, improve internal processes, and strengthen institutional impact. She has also served as a principal analyst for customer experience at Forrester Research and led digital media at The Museum of Modern Art, where she oversaw the strategy and implementation of MoMA’s public-facing digital initiatives, including websites, social media, mobile apps, and digital displays. She began her career at renowned exhibit design firm Ralph Appelbaum Associates where she launched the company’s first media department.

Allegra has taught graduate courses at Pratt Institute and Johns Hopkins University and held leadership roles with the Museum Computer Network. She holds degrees from Dartmouth College and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
