When pulling lists and mailings in the Raiser's Edge database view we had a number of tools at our disposal and had to be knowledgeable and thoughtful to do that work most correctly.  With the web view, we have even more tools at our disposal.  So which tool do we use when to take best advantage of all this power at our fingertips?  Think of ourselves as builders and Raiser's Edge as our toolbox -- when do we use the hammer, screwdriver, pliers, wrenches of various sizes, and the other tools in the box?  How should we be making lists of constituents and gifts, creating mailing files, doing analysis, getting emails sent, and getting the data to our fundraisers that they rely on us for?  When do we use Lists, and when do we use Query?  How's it going with this new form of Export now merged with Query in the web view? This presentation will answer those questions and give the pros and cons, the designers' intents, for each of these tools so you'll leave a wiser Raiser's Edge user ready to create with a more refined knowledge of your toolbox, especially as we approach the arrival of the Unified View and sunset of the database view.
