YPTC

Bio
Eric Johnson is a Manager in YPTC’s Remote Services Operations–Elite team and the Leader of YPTC’s Social Services specialization, supporting the largest concentration of nonprofit clients within the firm’s portfolio. He brings two decades of nonprofit accounting experience, beginning his career with a national association management company in Chicago before moving into senior finance roles across a range of mission‑driven organizations.
Over the past ten years, Eric has served as Director of Finance for a museum, theatre, workforce development agency, and a social service agency. These roles required strengthening financial systems, improving reporting accuracy, and guiding organizations toward operational excellence. He has overseen IT and HR functions in addition to finance, leading multiple software transitions including donor databases and payroll systems. In each role he leaned into collaborating with the Fundraising & Development teams.
In his leadership role at YPTC, Eric supervises teams across the Midwest, oversees services for a broad nonprofit client base, and plays a key role in staff development, quality control, and transformational client support. He is committed to making financial information accessible to program, administrative, and leadership staff who may have limited accounting knowledge. This ensures organizations gain clarity, confidence, and stronger financial practices.
Eric has presented at industry conferences, including the 2024 Tessitura Conference, 2025 BBCON, and is known for translating complex financial concepts into practical guidance that nonprofits can apply immediately.
