Blackbaud
Bio
Marleen Lucas is a Senior Strategic Consultant on Blackbaud’s Analytics Services team, where she helps organizations increase fundraising success through data-driven insights and Blackbaud Analytics tools.
She joined Blackbaud in 2013, managing projects and client engagements across Managed and Retainer Services before transitioning into the role of RENXT Consultant. In 2022, Marleen brought her deep fundraising background to the Analytics Services team, where she now partners with clients to turn data into actionable strategy.
Marleen’s career in fundraising began as a student caller at her alma mater, Washington State University (Go Cougs!), and includes decades of hands-on experience in annual giving, membership programs, and data-driven fundraising. Prior to joining Blackbaud, she served a variety of nonprofit organizations, including Central Washington University, Woodland Park Zoo, Museum of Glass, and the NPR station now known as KNKX. She also worked as a private consultant, supporting organizations with Raiser's Edge migrations and fundraising strategy development.
Marleen holds a Master’s degree in Organization Development and lives in Bonney Lake, Washington—about 40 miles southeast of Seattle—with her husband of more than 30 years, Derek. Outside of work, she enjoys live cover bands, game nights, weekend getaways with longtime friends, and traveling whenever possible.
