Angela Finley Hunter has served as Grants Manager of The Imlay Foundation and Executive Assistant to Mary Ellen Imlay of Imlay Investments since 2017. The Imlay Foundation is a private family foundation and Imlay Investments is the personal investment company for the family office of Mary Ellen Imlay and the late John P. Imlay, Jr. in Atlanta, Georgia. Angela manages the Foundation’s grantmaking process as well as external communications and online presence, and develops and sustains long term connections with nonprofit organizations in the community.

Angela brings 17+ years of grantmaking experience to the non-profit sector with a deep background in nonprofit donor and grantee relationships. She empowers organizations through strategic grants and strong partnerships and creates meaningful impact throughout Metro Atlanta. Prior to joining The Imlay Foundation, Angela served as the Philanthropic Services Associate for the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. Angela’s for-profit experience includes ten years as senior inforce proposal specialist, client services at ING Operations of Atlanta in Atlanta, GA, and 3 years as field underwriter at Nease, Lagana, Eden & Culley in Atlanta, GA.

A native of Atlanta, Angela holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Services from Clayton State University and an Associate of Science degree in Social Work from Perimeter College at Georgia State University. Angela serves as an advisory board member for College AIM, a nonprofit in Atlanta that provides college and financial aid exposure from ninth grade through college graduation.
