Marcela Goings is the Assistant Director of Scholarships at Southeastern Louisiana University, where she oversees state, institutional, Foundation, and private scholarship programs. She played a key role in implementing Blackbaud Award Management at Southeastern and continues to lead initiatives focused on process improvement, reviewer training, and student engagement.

With five years of experience in higher education and four years in secondary education, Marcela brings an educator's perspective to scholarship administration, combining strong communication and organizational strategies to create efficient, student-centered scholarship processes. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Marcela also serves as Publications Chair for the Louisiana Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (LASFAA), where she leads the association's communications, branding, and member engagement initiatives. As a former educator, she is passionate about helping students access opportunities that remove financial barriers and support their path to graduation.
