Salvatore Salpietro is the Chief Growth Officer at Dataro, an AI-native platform dedicated to helping nonprofits grow their revenue and impact. He transitioned to this role after his tenure at Fundraise Up, where, as a founding employee, he held multiple leadership titles, across partnerships, customer experience and community. This extensive background in technology and the nonprofit sector gives him a unique understanding of the challenges that organizations face and the AI solutions needed to advance their missions.
Salvatore has lived and worked in diverse places like New York, London, Rome, and Miami, giving him a unique perspective into donor behaviors. Prior to his work on the technology platform side, he served as Director of Digital at the Child Mind Institute and held technology roles with the University of California and the American University of Rome. Before entering the impact sector, he co-founded two startups and worked with eCommerce giants like Walmart and Sony.
He stays close to the mission side of the sector through a number of advisory roles and boards, currently including the Rainforest Trust Advisory Council. He is an AFP member and a participant in the Resource Alliance.
A frequent speaker at conferences and webinars worldwide, Salvatore encourages nonprofits to embrace innovation and understand the direct impact it can have on their missions. Leveraging humor, analogies, and interactivity in his talks, he aims to make them not just informative, but also engaging.
