Susan serves as Executive Director of Advancement Information Services at William & Mary, where she leads the team responsible for the technology, data integrations, and application services that support University Advancement.

In her role, Susan works across Advancement to translate business needs into technology solutions that strengthen fundraising, alumni engagement, prospect management, stewardship, and other advancement operations. She oversees William & Mary’s advancement CRM and its broader ecosystem of applications and integrations, with a focus on ensuring that technology and data effectively support the university’s strategic goals.

Susan is particularly focused on creating strong partnerships between technology and functional teams. Under her leadership, Advancement Information Services has expanded its use of structured project management, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, testing, documentation, and agile development practices to improve how technology initiatives are prioritized and delivered.

She brings a practical, collaborative approach to technology leadership, with an emphasis on understanding the business problem first and then identifying the right combination of systems, data, processes, and people to solve it. As Advancement’s technology environment continues to evolve, Susan is also focused on responsible innovation and identifying opportunities to use emerging technologies, including automation and artificial intelligence, to improve efficiency and better serve William & Mary’s advancement community.
