Bio
Mary Furlow is an experienced database administrator with a strong background in technical writing, data management, and software training. She currently serves as the Database Administrator for the Jacksonville State University Foundation, where she oversees data integrity, system optimization, and donor management operations.
Prior to her role at JSU, Mary worked with the Mississippi Department of Information Technology as a Technical Writer and Publications Specialist, contributing to statewide IT documentation and communication efforts. She is also the owner of Technicalities, a business providing customized software training and documentation services.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, and is a Blackbaud Certified Professional. She is known for her expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and her commitment to clear, efficient data systems.
Outside of her professional life, Mary enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her husband and two grown sons.
