Bio

Amber Salvage is the Database Administrator for Development at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. She manages the organization’s Raiser’s Edge NXT environment across both web and database view, supporting fundraising operations through reporting, integrations, and workflow automation.

Over the past several years, Amber has devoted herself to mastering Raiser’s Edge and continually looks for ways to improve operational workflows and reduce administrative burden for her team. She works closely with her colleagues to streamline processes such as gift processing, acknowledgments, constituent management, and guiding staff through system workflows.

Amber recently led MBL’s transition toward expanded use of Raiser’s Edge NXT web view, overseeing the migration process and helping staff adapt to new workflows.

Her focus on improving operational processes led her to collaborate with Red Arc to implement LetterBox Premium to streamline the acknowledgment letter process. She is currently an early adopter of Red Arc’s Supporter Engagement Platform and AI workflow agents, contributing real-world user feedback to help shape and refine the technology for nonprofit operations.

Amber previously worked in research administration at MBL and has a background in biology and conservation science. She enjoys applying analytical thinking to fundraising systems and operational problem-solving.
