Blackbaud’s Tech Conference for Good™ has been designed to make you, your team, and your organization stronger and more resilient, so you can make the greatest impact possible for your mission.  This year's global, virtual gathering is being held October 17–18, 2022.  We are interested in hearing from a diverse group of dynamic presenters who are able to engage audiences with their unique expertise, inspiring stories, bold ideas, and a desire to drive social good. Any submissions received prior to August 31, 2022 will be considered and reviewed by the bbcon 2022 content planning committee.

Session Formats

There are three session formats we are looking to fill with external speakers:

  • Breakout sessions: 30 minute simu-live sessions, pre-recorded through bbcon virtual production team and broadcast at a specific date and time during the conference. All presenters should be available during their broadcast time to answer online chat and Q&A.
  • Tips and tricks:  5-10 minute pre-recorded videos submitted by the speaker that showcases a valuable feature, capability, technique that has made a great impact to you, your team, your organization. 
  • Small group discussions:  20-30 minute sessions hosted in our networking lounges with capacity of 50 people each. These sessions typically focus on ask the experts series, common trends and challenges, like-minded peer gatherings.

Evaluation Criteria

Session proposals will be reviewed and evaluated using the following criteria:

  • Quality of content: Proposals are timely, relevant and fit profiles of content needed to round out our agenda.
  • Relevance to audience: Content should examine and explore the needs, challenges, and opportunities social good professionals face today and in the future.
  • Approach: Session descriptions, target audience, level of expertise, and key learning takeaways are clearly articulated.
  • Creativity and innovation: Engaging ways to interact with the audience and/or new perspectives on topics are delivered.
  • Impact: Session provides practical application and encourages attendees to take action.
     

Speaker Expectations

Approved speakers should comply to the following guidance: 

  • Be available to pre-record their presentation. Speakers will have production support.
  • Get engaged! Help spread the word about your session through your social media networks to increase attendance and generate excitement around your topic and the conference. 
  • Join us live. Sessions will have scheduled air times during which speakers can answer questions online via chat.
  • Meet deadlines. All deadlines will be outlined in the online Speaker Resource Center once speakers are approved.
  • Agree to our speaker release. We intend to make presentations available for viewing after the event and will release select recordings for promotional and educational use.
