Bio
Claire has 30 years’ experience as a policy professional specialising in regulation policy development and strategy development/change projects. She joined the Fundraising Regulator on a contract basis in March 2024 to develop regulatory guidance material in support of the new Code of Fundraising Practice. She has a background working at all levels of policy making and policy analysis in the statutory and non-profit sectors, from EU to local level. Claire's past roles include Head of Policy positions at the General Medical Council, General Dental Council, and within the NHS Confederation. Claire is educated to Masters level in political science, awarded the Public Leadership Credential from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in 2024, and currently studying with the Centre for Philanthropy at the University of Kent. In her spare time Claire has volunteered for over twenty years a charitable arts venue and has more recently joined the team of volunteers at a community farming charity.
