Rachel Coombs is a strategic fundraising leader and since January 2026, Sporting Events Manager at Prostate Cancer UK. She specialises in mass participation events, data-driven decision-making, and team development, combining analytical insight with creative solutions to deliver impactful fundraising campaigns.
Before joining Prostate Cancer UK, Rachel spent over three years at Diabetes UK as Fundraising Events Manager, where she led on fundraising events including Fakeaway Feb, Swim22, and the London Marathon. She also developed the bespoke events series, Wellness Walks.
Her earlier roles include Fundraising Project Lead at Samaritans, where she managed virtual events, and Event Operations Manager at MetaSport in Singapore, overseeing large-scale sporting events and logistics.
Rachel is passionate about using data to inspire teams and stakeholders, and she actively supports the cause, running the London Marathon 2025 to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK, helping advance research and support for men affected by prostate cancer.
