As Associate Director, Business Intelligence at the University of Auckland, John leads the Prospect Research, Data and Analytics, and Gift Operations teams. His approach focuses on translating the technical into the simple, encouraging everyone across the Advancement team to make the most of the information available to them.  John has always been a willing early adopter — he's used the SKY API to bring University data seamlessly into Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, alongside tools like SmartSYNC and RedArc. He's also a Senior Analyst for Visualise Reporting, helping develop reporting solutions for higher education clients.

Previously at Blackbaud Europe, John spent almost 20 years on the other side of the technology, gaining insight into software development, charities, and education institutions.
