Nonprofit Financial Reporting and Design: Building a Simple System for Complicated Needs

Nonprofit financial reporting is complicated. Different audiences need different information, which all needs to be regularly managed and reported. How do we prepare this information in an efficient way? And in a way that each of these audiences can understand? This session explores key principles in financial reporting design so that systems like Financial Edge can work better for you. Using a helpful metaphor, we’ll explain the different aspects of the nonprofit financial system, and then we will explore how, with the right set up, users should be able to get this information with “just a few clicks” so that our time is spent ACTING on our financial information rather than trying to find it.
