From Events to Intelligence: How Jax State Uses Data & Segmentation to Scale Alumni Engagement

A223/224/225
In-Person

Managing 75,000+ alumni with a small advancement team requires more than great events. It requires infrastructure.

In this session, Jacksonville State University shares how they moved beyond traditional homecoming-centric programming and built a scalable, data-led engagement system. By standardizing segmentation, defining engagement signals, and tracking repeat attendance, Jax State transformed events from one-off moments into measurable relationship-building tools.

A key part of this shift was integrating Almabase with Raiser's Edge NXT, allowing event participation, updated contact information, and engagement signals to sync directly into the CRM. This eliminated manual list pulls, reduced siloed reporting, and made it possible to connect event data with giving outcomes in a more intentional way.

Attendees will leave with a practical framework for turning alumni events into actionable engagement intelligence that advancement services teams can operationalize and scale.
