Collaborate for Success - Breaking Down Silos at Susan G. Komen
Tina Shelton, Sr. Manager of Community Development Operations and Bruce Baughman, Sr. P2P Engineer, share how they created a cross-department collaboration and sustained it. With multiple concurrent programs and a team spread across the country, collaboration and maintaining success require work like any relationship. This can be applied to any organization regardless of the size.
Within our fully remote environment at Susan G. Komen, working across time zones it can be difficult to ensure our events and programs get the attention they need. Annually we have six Signature Series and a significant number of Third-party Peer to Peer Events. New Events and opportunities are a constant; we also need to maintain our long running Signature events and remain agile for new opportunities. Maintaining a strong communications and collaboration supports that effort.
