What is bbcon?

bbcon is Blackbaud's annual customer conference that brings together our entire community for three days of sharing, learning, inspiration, and innovation.

In 2024, thousands of professionals in the Blackbaud community will all come together in Seattle, September 24–26, to learn more about how to use Blackbaud’s software to fuel their social impact. We co-located the Blackbaud K–12 User Conference at bbcon, allowing K–12 private schools to connect the entire school community for the learning event of the year.  

When is bbcon 2024?

bbcon 2024 will be in Seattle, September 24–26.  There will be pre-conference workshops on Monday, September 23, available through an all-access pass. The standard conference program will kick off on Tuesday, September 24, with a packed agenda through midday Thursday, September 26. Register here.

What type of content will be available?

The in-person agenda includes inspiring keynotes, luminary super sessions featuring industry experts from across the sector, and educational breakout sessions across three days. It includes networking activities, a Welcome Reception and our bbcon bash. In addition, our Marketplace offers access to Blackbaud experts, partners, and sponsors showcasing the latest products and services for the social good community. When can I register for sessions?

The only sessions you register for in advance and are guaranteed a seat at are the pre-conference workshops available with an all-access pass.  During the registration process, you will be asked to select the pre-conference workshops you plan to attend and you will be guaranteed a seat at these sessions. Once capacity for these pre-conference workshops (50 max) is filled, the session will not be available for booking.

For the core conference program, we will launch the bbcon agenda builder in early September. This will allow you to add breakout sessions you are interested in attending to your personalized in-person agenda. These sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. So please plan ahead. We highly suggest adding back up sessions to your "favorites" list in case your preferred session is full.

If there is a breakout session you really want to attend, please arrive early to secure your seat. Please note that our conference planning committee does their best to place popular sessions in the largest rooms possible to accommodate demand.  We cannot add additional seats in overcrowded rooms due to fire code regulations. We appreciate your understanding.

Will sessions have continuing education credit?

Blackbaud University Day pre-conference workshops will receive CE credits, the list of sessions can be found here.  

A list of general breakout sessions qualifying for CE credits will be shared later this summer.

How do I access session handouts?

You must be registered and logged in to see session materials.

If speakers submitted final materials, including PDF of their slides, you will find them in the details of each session.

For in-person attendees, go to session listing, navigate to the session you are interested in and click on the magnify glass for more information. You can also access materials from the session details in the bbcon mobile app.

For virtual attendees, log into Agenda Builder and navigate to the session details to access materials.

Registration & Pricing

How do I register for bbcon?

Click here to begin your registration for bbcon 2024! If you’ve already registered, please refer to your confirmation email for instructions on how to manage or update your registration details.

How do I modify my registration once I’ve completed it? 

Click on the “modify registration” link in your confirmation email to make edits to your registration or account. You will need to log in using the email address and password that you used to set up your account. Once you are logged in, you can make changes to your contact information, upgrade from basic to an all-access pass, make a substitution, or cancel your registration. If you have lost your confirmation email or need further assistance, please reach out to our conference team.

How much does a conference pass cost?

What are the payment options?

Conference registration fees can be paid for with the following credit cards only: American Express, MasterCard, or Visa. If credit card payment is not an option for you, please complete your registration through to payment page and then email conference@blackbaud.com to request an invoice.   Please reference registration policies and procedures.

How do I register for a pre-conference workshop?

Blackbaud University Day and Developer Workshops are part of our pre-conference agenda hosted on September 23.  Register for or upgrade to an all-access pass for access to our pre-conference content. Learn more about the pre-conference workshops.

How do I watch sessions?
  1. Go to bbconference.com, click < Log In > in the top right corner of the navigation bar (next to the Register button)
  2. Enter your email and password.
  3. This will bring you to the Agenda Builder page where you will find a curated list of sessions that will be available virtually! You can click the calendar button to bookmark sessions you want to watch real-time.
  4. A select set of breakout recordings will be available to watch on demand starting October 15.

You can view these sessions by going to the Agenda Builder page. You can favorite to add them to your watch list and then return on Oct 15 watch them on demand.

How do I visit virtual sponsor booths?

Click on the Sponsors tab at the top navigation bar. This will bring you to a list of the sponsors for bbcon 2024. You may then click on their logo to enter the virtual booth. You will find videos, resources and a "drop a business card" feature. The booths will be available starting September 24, when bbcon Seattle kicks off!
