Hailing from Ireland, Rob’s career began in the finance sector, working both directly with clients in advisory roles and then went into Investment Banking in 2005 where he worked for Morgan Stanley in equities in Australia and China. He made the tricky transition from the Corporate world into the NFP sector around 12 years ago where he started as Major Gifts Manager at The Shepherd Centre for deaf children. From there he moved to Key Relationships Manager at NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia) before joining Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute in 2018 as the Head of Philanthropy. Rob is also currently finishing a book on Philanthropy focused primarily on major giving.
